Registered IFPA Aromatherapy Tutors

Introduction Tutor Criteria Principal Aromatherapy Tutor Aromatherapy Tutor

Trainee Aromatherapy Tutor Tutor Registration Registration Forms

Historically only those tutors who taught aromatherapy on IFPA accredited courses were on a register of tutors as this is a requisite for educational establishments to gain IFPA accredited status. However, as a result of numerous enquiries from members it has been decided to open a tutor register to all full IFPA members who are qualified to teach aromatherapy.

The register is divided into the three categories briefly outlined below:

1.Principal lecturers – must have a minimum of 5 years professional aromatherapy practice plus a recognised teaching qualification.

2.Tutors – must have a minimum of 3 years professional aromatherapy practice plus a recognised teaching qualification.

3.Trainee tutor – must have a minimum of 2 years professional aromatherapy practice and be registered on a recognised teacher-training course.

Furthermore the register will distinguish between tutors teaching on IFPA accredited and non-IFPA accredited courses.

Initial registration will cost between £20 and £30 depending on the category being applied for. At present it is not envisaged that there will be an annual renewal but that, in line with IFPA accredited schools, renewals will be 4-yearly.

If you think you may qualify for registration please contact the IFPA office or visit the IFPA website for more details and application forms.

Yours sincerely,

Fran Rawlings
